From the maker of Airplane... this movie was Val's first "hit" if you can call it that.  A spoof of war movies and Elvis flicks... this movie has more bad jokes than an Asylum email.  The story beings as Nick Rivers (Val) begins a journey to West Germany (at that point, still under control of  Communism)  Here the "American Rock and Roll Star" Nick Rivers, is invited to perform for the world VIA live satellite from West Germany.  Meanwhile the comedic adventures and music thrives in this most interesting adventure.   Before long, Nick and his friends discover the hidden secrets of the Germans including the "Polaris Mine."  According to Dr. Flammond, Nick is as useful  to the Germans as "A truck-full of dead rats in a tampon factory." Be sure to  watch for an entire scene filmed backward (including speaking) as well not-so-phony dog poo, and a skeet shootin granny. The greatest thing about this movie, is they know it is bad, which makes it good!  The sound track is great... Nick sings "Tutti Fruity" and "Skeet Shootin" along with "Are you lonesome tonight?" (A Macys commercial he made up when he got lost in Macys as a  boy and then started to work in their pre-teen maternity section during the semi-annual Lincoln's Birthday Sale).  A highly recommended movie... I have it on video. Come over and watch it.  I promise
I won't quote the *whole* movie.
