The Untimely Death
of Pooh!
Many of you may well remember this picture.
Passed from hand to hand, person to person, friend to friend, foe to foe,
etc. It was all at the expense of one precious girl. This girl
went down into fame as the only 10th grader who carried Pooh Bear everywhere
she went. Yes, poor Pooh had to sit through many a boring school
lecture and exam. There is no mercy even for a poor stuffed animal.
But for this girl, whom we'll call Jenni Iannelli, didn't know what was
about to hit her. This picture taken May 1, 1995, is a document of
that dreadful day. The day when Jenni lost her Pooh. All she
had left of him was this ransom picture. Poor girl, had no clue who
had stolen him, either would Brooke Anderson. Jenni only knew that
she wanted him back, dead or well still stuffed, I mean it was never really
alive in the first place (okay Jenni, yes he was, he was very alive, you
had many a conversation with him. We know hon.) Well, Jen got
her Pooh back and celebrated all night with Christopher Robin. Then
she noticed Eyore and celebrated a little while with him. And then
there was Tigger, and Piglet, and Rabbit, and so on... it was a real celebration.
... everybody wondered what happened that day
and where exactly the evidence lay
but what everybody didn't understand
is the evidence landed in a reporters
hand
