Dear Lord? Has it been over a year since this page was updated? Where to begin... First, www.billandtheblackdots.cc is no more. Soon this website will be at it's permanent home, www.theblackdots.com !
There are new studio recorded demos being worked on for the first EP. The song list at this moment is "Cosmonaut", "Raven Will Leave Anyway", and "Let's Go!".
And now, everyone please welcome Rob Coleman! Rob has graciously joined the band and will be playing bass guitar and singing lovely harmonies.
It's best to keep both eyes on this page to see what else will be coming up. A possible tour? More EPs? A full length recording? Who knows, we sure as hell don't...

Another New Demo, "Raven Will Leave Anyway" is where you know it is. Additionally, a cover of Dashboard Confessional's "So Impossible" is available over where covers are.

a new song, "nice day" is up over there, where the songs are. It's a whimsical instrumental tribute to nice days.

Who are the black dots, anyway? Do they ever rehearse? I see Bill, but where is everyone else? I don't know. Too Drunk to Fuck Tour episodes one and one-point-five are up on the Too Drunk to Fuck Tour page. More to come. Picture page was added, too. More to come. New songs to come. Actual collaborations with the band to come. Album to come.
An interesting new version of Cosmonaut, featuring Dane on drums, is available where songs are available.
www.billandtheblackdots.cc is ours, now. It's this page at a different address. Marvel at the redundancy of the internet.

Item! A new recording of Dirty Little Pop Song is available, now featuring Drums and Bass, recorded thoughtfully by Dane Smith.
Item! Please welcome Chris Miller and Chris Ashwell to the Black Dots family. We think.
Item! Bill and Ben continue to hit the stage (separately) at Habits Café on Madison Avenue in Oakley, Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill often hits it very hard. With his head. Chris Miller is frequently there to drink Miller light. He never plays, despite insistence that he do so or leave.
Item! Mister Laird and Mister Ashwell can be seen be seen every single week as part of the original Cincinnati Cast of Joey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding. Bill plays Joey. Chris plays Frankie. For information, call (859) 261-8500. The show is in Covington, KY, and tickets are expensive. Rest assured, Bill and Chris don't see hardly any of that money.

Another new song, "Dirty Little Pop Song" is up. Also, every Sunday night from here to Eternity, Bill is going to get together with his pal Ben (of Running for Daylight fame) to moderately rock the stage on open mike night at Habits Café in Oakley, Cincinnati, Ohio. Come out and show your support, and buy Bill a drink. He plays better drunk.

The new, far less impressive, but far more content-intensive site premieres. Almost two years after his debut EP, "Let's Get Mighty," Mighty Mister Smiley rockets back at the speed of the internet (very very slowly). The new full-length album (as-yet unnamed) is due out in December of 2001, and will feature the inimitable stylings of Messers Robert Chan, Dane Smith, and the Coleman Brothers. Will you find it on your store shelves? No, probably not. But stay tuned to Smiley Central to find out how you can get it, and WHERE you can see Smiley!
